Perfect combination of Italian tradition, technology and creative artistic design.
Cinelli have won 28 gold medals in various Olympic Games and World Championships. The company is famous for its individualism and ground-braking designs and has a reputation that extends far beyond the cycle industry. The Laser of the 1980s more than satisfied the national federations for their time trialling professionals. The Starship, Columbus' first aluminium frameset began its years of production in 1999. The all-performance Vigorelli track frame appeared in 2005 followed by a range of bikes with carbon monocoque, Cr-Mo steel and Zonal 7005 alloy tubing, some with carbon forks.
The Cinelli 1A stem had appeared at the Rome Olympics in 1960. The "64 Gimondi" and "65 Merckx" handlebars, as they became known, proved a very public endorsement of quality. Then followed one of Cinelli's first integrated handlebars called the Ram. Shortly after, in 1994, Spinaci extensions dominated the racing market until their unwelcome demise in 1997. Cinelli designed handlebars, stems and bar tape remain an important part of this legendary brand.
