Silca

High quality cycle maintenance products born in Italy back in 1917 and now made in the USA since 2014

The company Silca was founded just outside Milan, Italy in 1917 by Felice Sacchi.  Silca were the first company to put gauges on bicycle pumps and to produce a true 'high-pressure' frame pump. More recently, the company was first with a valve controlled CO2 inflator. The company ideals became deeply rooted in a combination of durable materials, traditional craftsmanship, and innovation. To there testament many of the Silca pumps of the 1960's and 70's are still in use today and Silca still continue to sell replacement parts for those very pumps!

By 2013, Silca was the oldest company in the bicycle industry to have been continually owned by the same family and in the August, Claudio Sacchi, grandson of Felice, sold the company to, Joshua Poertner who was the Technical Director at Zipp and also a lifelong Silca fan since buying a pump in 1990, which is still in daily use today.

2014, Silca HQ and manufacturing have been moved to Indianapolis, Indiana, USA.  Each and every Silca component is designed for beauty, function, strength, durability, and longevity before it is carefully produced by hand to the highest standards.  Joshua and his team take great pride in upholding the 100 year history of the brand.
